Tango meets Klezmer

"Klezmer could be described as music that dances and sings, music which brings out the joy and sorrow of life. Music that is as fruitful and diverse as the Eastern - European Jewish culture it stems from" (Haskala). In this concert the tango and klezmer lifestyles meet within the pulse of the pure joy of living. The interpretations, partially mixed with improvisation, are sensitive and energetic at the same time, informed by tradition as well as strongly original. Tangotopia sets out to prove how lively and accesible klezmer music is till today. The word "Kli" (Klezmer), in the aramaeic language, means "container". Could music as the sounding wealth of this world be described any better?
